Acadia among the best in Maclean’s 2023 University Rankings

The Maclean’s 2023 University Rankings have been released. Once again, the publication highlights Acadia University’s leadership in the primarily undergraduate post-secondary sector, particularly in the areas of student-to-faculty ratio, faculty and student awards, and student scholarships and bursaries.

Acadia maintained its top five rank overall in the primarily undergraduate category and earned fifth place by reputation.

“I am proud that Acadia’s strengths and reputation are recognized in these national rankings,” says Dr. Peter Ricketts, Acadia’s President and Vice-Chancellor. “Being in the top five nationally is a significant external measure of the transformative education we offer students. And it underscores the dedication of the entire Acadia community, particularly over this challenging time in our history on campus and in the world.”

Despite the adaptations required because of the global pandemic, Acadia has continued its mission to provide personalized in-person learning for its students.

“We have something very special to offer students,” says Dr. Ricketts. “A personal approach to learning that is becoming increasingly rare in the post-secondary landscape.”

Acadia University will host its Fall Open House on Friday, October 21. The event will include opportunities to learn about programs, meet students and professors, view residences, eat in the dining hall, and achieve on-the-spot admissions. Future students and their families can find a full schedule and registration information online. Registration is recommended.

Since the rankings were established in 1991, Acadia University has consistently placed in the top five.
