Acadia sure cleans up nice!
It was a chilly Sunday during Spring Thaw weekend. Nonetheless, 20 Acadia students came out to take on the annual community clean up initiative!
They collected over 20 bags of waste from across Wolfville, and donated all refundable items towards the Acadia Dance Collective (come see them at their spring showcase on March 29!).
Along with the Dance Collective, the clean up team partnered with Acadia Game Day Cheer and the Acadia Community Development Council.
Sappho Thompson says she was grateful for the opportunity to get involved in this year’s clean up.
“As a Community Development student, I recognize the impact that a clean campus has on not only our Earth, but our culture and community. It is always empowering to engage in moments of tangible, meaningful action, especially when done with good friends!”
Brent LeGrow, Coordinator of Residence Education, gives special thanks to Megan Bautista and Sappho Thompson for their help and leadership with the clean up.
