Elevating your dining experience at Wheelock Dining Hall

Notice anything new at the back of the dining hall recently? Yes, all the construction and big plastic sheets are gone, and that means the major renovations are done! How does that improve your dining experience?

A huge improvement for students, staff and faculty is the new Allergen Aware Station. It provides healthy options for people’s unique dietary needs, all under the supervision of the Acadia Dining Services Dietician and Chefs. How cool is that?

The Allergen Aware Station is a dedicated space in the dining hall for people who need thoughtfully prepared meals that meet specific dietary requirements. Whether you have food allergies, intolerances, or other restrictions that make choosing safe options difficult in the main dining area, this station is here to support you.

Our team provides carefully curated meals that are prepared separately with attention to ingredients, preparation methods, and cross-contact prevention. And we encourage you to ask the chef what other options they can whip up for you with the day’s ingredients.

Students are telling us:

“I am vegetarian and dairy free and went to the allergy conscious station for the first time today and had such a great experience. The food was so good and balanced. Loved the use of lentils and chickpeas as a protein source for me!”

“I wanted to say THANK YOU to the woman working at the new Allergen Aware station. She is kind, knowledgeable, and knows how to make great food! She has absolutely changed my dining hall experience to an amazing one. She always has a positive attitude and is super accommodating.”
