Film Crew on Campus
On Monday June 22 and the morning of June 23, Acadia University will be hosting a film production crew.
Approximately 250 cast and crew will be on campus. The shoot is expected to wrap up noon on Tuesday June 23 with minimal disruption expected to the campus community operations.
However, campus will see a large number of transport trucks and vans in the Athletics Complex parking lot and travelling along University Avenue for the shoot, which is currently scheduled to take place in the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens, as well as the quad behind University Hall.
- The back half of the Athletics Complex parking area will be secured from Friday, June 19 until Tuesday, June 23. Parking will be available at the front portion of the lot, excluding Monday, June 22 and the morning of June 23 when we ask you to use the other available parking options, such as Festival Theatre parking lot.
- Metered parking along University and behind Fountain Commons will be restricted
- Members of the production crew will also be on site Sunday, June 21 to prepare sets.
- Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons – Great Room will be secured and closed to public and the campus community all day on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23 until noon.
- All bookable spaces in the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens are reserved all day June 22 and until noon on June 23. The building is operating at capacity during those times.
These dates are subject to change as the filming schedule may shift.
