International Student Employment Programs Applications Now Open!

Applications are now open for Acadia’s 2026–27 International Student Employment Program (ISEP). The program provides funding to help create additional on-campus employment opportunities for international students.

What’s changed this year

There are two important changes to ISEP funding for 2026–27:

  • Funding will be provided at a 50% rate only. Full funding requests will not be available this year, and departments must be able to cover the remaining 50% of the eligible employment costs.
  • Funding must create a new employment opportunity. ISEP cannot be used to subsidize an international student who has already been hired. Approved positions will be posted following the funding decision and filled through a new hiring process.

Funding

ISEP will cover 50% of the employment cost for an international student working:

  • up to 7 hours per week
  • at $17/hour plus vacation pay
  • for 10 weeks in the Fall term, 10 weeks in the Winter term, or both

Departments are welcome to offer a higher hourly wage or additional hours; however, any costs above the ISEP-funded wage and hours are the responsibility of the department.

Apply by September 21

Departments interested in receiving fall funding must submit a position application by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21:

Funding decisions will be communicated later that day. Once funding is confirmed, approved positions will be posted to the student job board. Applications will go directly to the supervisor, who will be responsible for reviewing candidates and making the hiring decision.

September 21 at 10:00 a.m. – Department applications due
