LinkedIn Learning Available for free through Halifax Public Libraries

Employees can access LinkedIn Learning for free through Halifax Public Libraries using a valid library card and PIN.

LinkedIn Learning offers thousands of self-paced courses taught by industry professionals, covering topics such as leadership, communication, conflict management, Microsoft 365, project management, technology, and creative skills.

This is a great opportunity to explore professional development at your own pace and build skills that support your current role, career goals, and personal interests.  

How to Get Started with LinkedIn Learning?

  1. Visit the Halifax Public Libraries website and go to the E-Library section and select LinkedIn Learning from the available online resources.
  2. Sign in using your Halifax Public Libraries library card number and PIN. Please note: The Halifax Public Libraries library ID is halifaxca.
  3. Search for a course topic or browse by category to begin learning.
  4. You can also use your phone/tablet by downloading the LinkedIn Learning app. Select the Library card sign-in Option.

Need a Halifax Public Libraries Card?

Visit: Halifax Library Registration and follow the instructions.

  • Nova Scotia residents can get a free library card.
  • Apply online for a digital card to get access to the library system.
  • Online applicants receive a temporary digital barcode by email, which can be used to create an account and access most online resources.
  • A digital card can be upgraded to a standard physical membership at a library branch. You will need one piece of Identification.
  • Use your personal email address (rather than your work email) for library access.
