Rod Morrison honoured with 2021 CCAE Outstanding Achievement Award

The Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) has celebrated the distinguished career of recently retired Vice-President, Advancement Dr. Rod Morrison by naming him as the 2021 CCAE Outstanding Achievement Award.

The award honours both his contributions to the advancement and educational community and his achievements at McMaster University and Acadia University. Morrison's legacy at Acadia includes his leadership of Advancement during Campaign for Acadia, which powered past its $75-million goal by almost $12 million.

As Nancy McCain ('82), who joined Acadia's Class of 2021 with an honorary doctorate for her own philanthropic achievements, describes: "Giving back to the community is core to Rod, in his personal, and his professional life. This spirit is what has enabled him to be so successful in helping others to see the merit in giving back to the Acadia University community."
