Share Thanksgiving with the Acadia campus and community

This Thanksgiving, the Acadia University English Language Centre invites you to take part in Share Thanksgiving, a special initiative that connects Acadia’s international students with local families and community members for a holiday meal.

Many of our international students will be spending their very first Thanksgiving in Canada, and we hope to give them the chance to experience this warm tradition by sharing it with you.

As a host, you can:
  • Welcome one or more Acadia international students into your home for a Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Share your holiday traditions and enjoy meaningful conversations.
  • Choose any time over the Thanksgiving weekend (October 11–13) that works best for you.
  • In your registration you can let us know if you’re able to provide transportation for your guest(s).
Opening your home—even to one extra place at the table—can make a world of difference and create lasting memories for both you and our students. Thank you for helping us make this Thanksgiving a celebration of community, connection, and gratitude.
