Shaw Group Business Case Winners Announced

Recently, six energetic and motivated student teams analyzed and presented solutions to a challenging problem faced by a real business during the CORE round of our semi-annual Shaw Group Business Case Competition (SGBCC).

The SGBCC Core Round teams had 24 hours to solve the case before presenting their results to the judges’ panel of four external senior business leaders.

The winning team, Bankers Who Lost Interest, represented by Jacob Moore, Meg Keevill, Ted Higa, and Brandon Shute, were singled out for their thoroughgoing analysis and polished presentation. For their efforts, the team receives a $1,000-cash award and will be hosted at a luncheon sponsored by Shaw Group executives.

First-year students in attendance at the competition are eager for their turn to compete, which will happen next term. The Shaw Group has provided funding for the competition until 2017, with the possibility of an extension for another five years.
