Show Your Acadia Spirit This Giving Tuesday

This Giving Tuesday (December 2), let’s come together as a campus community to support food security for our students. Here are the ways you can get involved in campaigns all November long!

Dining Hall Tuesdays for the ASU Food Cupboard

Dine for a cause every Tuesday leading up to Giving Tuesday! We encourage staff and faculty to enjoy lunch at Wheelock Dining Hall on Tuesdays and give back with every meal.

All Wheelock Dining Hall door sales on Tuesdays from now until December 2 will be donated directly to the ASU Food Cupboard, supporting students facing food insecurity.

Thanks to the J&W Murphy Foundation, all proceeds will be matched, doubling your impact.

Giving Tuesday Matching Campaign

From now until December 2, all donations to the ASU Food Cupboard will be matched dollar for dollar by the J&W Murphy Foundation. Your support ensures that no student goes hungry.

Consider giving just $25, which can help purchase essential groceries for students such as bread, milk, eggs, fruit, and pasta for a student in need.

Every dollar helps make food security a reality on our campus. Donate here.

Departmental Food Drive Challenge

Rally your department and collect non-perishable food items for the ASU Food Cupboard. Let’s see which department can bring in the most donations and show the strongest Acadia spirit!

If your department wants to participate, email externalrelations@acadiau.ca to request a box.

Bake Sale in Support of the ASU Food Cupboard

We’re hosting a bake sale in support of Giving Tuesday on November 17 & 18 from

9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in University Hall basement outside of the Registrar’s Office & Student Accounts. Purchase some baked goods to support the ASU Food Cupboard!

Don’t like baked goods? They will also have chilli and soup available to purchase on November 17 from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Doubly sweet (and savoury)! Purchase an item from either the Bake Sale or Chilli/Soup Sale and your proceeds will be matched by our Giving Tuesday partner, the J&W Murphy Foundation.

Let’s show what it means to be part of the Acadia community: generous and compassionate with a shared belief in what’s possible. Together, we can make this our most impactful Giving Tuesday yet!
