Hey, Acadia alumni – get ready for Homecoming 2020! #NoPlaceLikeHomecoming
Just because we aren’t “coming home” to campus this October doesn’t mean we won’t be celebrating Homecoming. Keeping in mind the health and safety of Acadia’s faculty, staff, students and alumni, Homecoming 2020 will be delivered virtually. The pandemic is not going to stop us from having some fun and celebrating all that makes Acadia great on October 17-18!
We’re working to put together a jam-packed weekend that will include campus-hosted virtual events, communications, videos, memories and more, as well as your off-campus celebrations. No matter where you are in the world, reach out to your Acadia friends and think about having a small gathering (following pandemic rules and restrictions in your area) and be sure to let us know what you’re planning.
Thank you to all who requested our Homecoming in a Box package. We encourage you to stay safe, decorate your home with our swag (check out the photo!); take pictures and/or shoot some video and send it to our Digital Communications Coordinator Jordan Parker (Jordan.parker@acadiau.ca). Reminisce, tell stories and share why there’s #NoPlaceLikeHomecoming #Acadia2020
Send the details in advance so we can include and support you in the overall Homecoming celebration. If you have something in mind, please contact Sandra Symonds, Event Coordinator, Alumni Affairs at: sandra.symonds@acadiau.ca .
Stand Up and Cheer no matter where you are! #HOCO2020 is right around the corner, and you’re invited to be a part of it!
