We look forward to welcoming all members of our alumni community plus several returning reunion classes to this year’s Homecoming celebrations: the 1971 men’s basketball team; Class of 1972; Class of 1977; and Class of 1982. Make plans to join us for the festivities in October, including the annual Backyard BBQ before the football game on October 15!

6 p.m.  Women’s basketball – Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) vs. Acadia, War Memorial Gymnasium     

8:30-10 p.m. Alumni and student campfire singalong featuring Sarah Pound (’08) in the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens. K. C. Irving Environmental Science Centre. Dry event.

5:30-7:30 p.m. - Barbecue for the 1971 men's basketball team in the Stevens Centre at the Athletic Complex. We look forward to welcoming the 1971 men’s team! (Private event)

6 p.m.  Women’s basketball – Carleton vs. Acadia, War Memorial Gymnasium

7 p.m.  Men’s hockey – UNB vs. Acadia, Andrew H. McCain Arena CANCELLED

7:15 p.m. Men’s Soccer – Mount Allison vs Acadia, Raymond Field            

8 p.m. Men's basketball - Crandall vs. Acadia, War Memorial Gymnasium

8:30-Close. Exit 10 - ’80s costume theme, vintage Acadia outfits encouraged. Cover: $5 Student, $10 Alumni, ’70s and ’80s dance music, MacKeen Room, Students' Union Building (SUB).

Saturday, October 15, 2022

10 a.m. Dear 'Ole Acadia Reminiscing Tour – all campus, meeting at Alumni Hall with archivist Wendy Robicheau, concluding at the War Memorial (45 minutes in length). First come, first served, maximum 20 people per tour.

10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Homecoming Yard Party, Cutten House front lawn. Prizes such as Air Pods, Tuition Credits and Nintendo Switches (must be present to win prizes). 360-degree camera with Homecoming/Acadia/ASU branding; Food Truck; Dairy Farmers of Canada handing out milkshakes; and Inflatables (Extreme Wipe-Out and Riding Bull)

11 a.m. Dear 'Ole Acadia Reminiscing Tour – all campus, meeting at Alumni Hall with archivist Wendy Robicheau, concluding at the War Memorial (45 minutes in length). First come, first served, maximum 20 people per tour.

12-2 p.m.  Acadia Alumni Association Backyard BBQ – Clark Terrace, Wu Welcome Centre, featuring live music by The Nonrefundables.             

2 p.m.  AUS football – StFX vs. Acadia, Raymond Field

4-7 p.m. U-Hall Lawn Party, between Rhodes Hall and Seminary House. Ring Toss Tournament. Food (hot dogs/chips/water); more Inflatables (and mini-golf); prizes for lawn tournaments such as Nintendo Switch and Tuition Credit (must be present to win prizes) will be handed out at this event as well.

7 p.m.  Men’s hockey – Université de Moncton vs. Acadia, Andrew H. McCain Arena

9 p.m.-12 a.m. ASU Outdoor Concert - 9 p.m., opening acts (Ben Chase and Farewell Town); 10 p.m., headliner (Matt Lang). President's Field. Alumni, students and staff are FREE. Members of the Acadia community can pick up their tickets now at the Union Market in the SUB during operation hours, while supplies last. Additionally, those receiving tickets will be asked to provide their name, old student ID number, mailing address and e-mail address. General population can purchase tickets HERE.

NOTE: After the ASU Outdoor Concert there will be a Pizza Party in each residence (provided by ASU, funded by Residence Life).

Sunday, October 16

10 a.m. Best of the Brunch for Classes of 1972, 1977 and 1982 reunion attendees to enjoy! Joe's Food Emporium Sunroom, Main Street, Wolfville.

10 a.m. Acadia Cleans Up Nice! Clock Park, Wolfville. Join Acadia Axe-people and help keep Wolfville clean. Make a donation, too. All proceeds collected during the clean-up will be donated to the Valley Cardiac Rehab Society. Volunteers will also get a FREE T-shirt for participating in this event! Gloves and bags provided.

12 p.m. Reunion Class Meetings at the K. C. Irving Environmental Science Centre: for Classes of 1972, 1977 and 1982 reunion attendees. View 1982 Class Meeting Minutes HERE.

2 p.m.  Sunday Music in the Garden Room with David Potvin (’12), piano (no tickets required, freewill donation).

7 p.m. Chapel. Manning Memorial Chapel, Acadia campus.

7:30 p.m. Acadia Performing Arts Series presents "Une Veuve Joyeuse" Opera. Festival Theatre, Wolfville. To purchase tickets, please click HERE.
