Her talk will offer tips on how to 'Rock Your LinkedIn Profile' -- a one-hour workshop on how to optimize your profile, tell your professional story and connect to opportunity on LinkedIn.

Presenter bio

Laura Mason is a proud Acadia alum (BBA, Class of 2008) and a Toronto-based Sales Leader with over 15 years of experience in tech sales. She currently works at LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, with over 900 million members. Her team in the Talent Solutions division is focused on delivering customer value and revenue by way of LinkedIn's hiring, learning, and employee engagement solutions, fueling LinkedIn's vision of creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.

Laura has been at LinkedIn for the past 10 years, holding leadership and individual contributor roles within LinkedIn's Sales, Learning and Talent Solutions businesses, spanning both acquisition and existing customer sales. She is passionate about developing future sales leaders, career coaching, inclusive leadership, and mentoring. She is currently a LEAD Program Sponsor within LinkedIn's Diversity Inclusion and Belonging Program, engaging and developing talent from underrepresented groups. She also spent several years as the LinkedIn Canadian Management Team sponsor for Social Impact, helping connect communities in need to the resources and networks required to build meaningful careers.

Prior to her tenure at LinkedIn, Laura held sales roles at IBM Canada and Angoss Software.

Personally, Laura is an avid traveler, foodie, outdoor enthusiast, and yogi. She resides in Toronto with her husband, Christopher, and son, Harrison. She is originally from Halifax and although Toronto has been home for the past 15 years, she will forever be an "East Coaster" at heart.

Laura graduated from Acadia in 2008 with the University Scholar designation and was awarded the University Medal of Distinction. She was in Business Administration with a specialization in marketing.
