Panelist bio:

Alicia Noreiga-Mundaroy (BEd, 2011; MEd, 2016; PhD, 2023) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Development at Acadia University. Alicia is interested in studies that promote social justice and equity. Through her academic focus and advocacy, Alicia hopes to raise awareness and assist in transforming inequitable systems that disadvantage marginalized groups. As such, her research path includes critical participatory methodologies that amplify the voices of queer, Black, and rural communities, and among people experiencing the intersections of these characteristics.
