Virtual Event | Paint Night

You’re invited to join Executive Director, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot ('93,'06) for a virtual paint night on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 7 p.m. AST. Visual artist Twila Robar-DeCoste ('77, '80, '83) will lead you through the creation of your own painting. Get ready to paint!

Artist bio:

 

Twila Robar-DeCoste ('77, '80, '83)

Twila Robar-DeCoste, of Aylesford, Nova Scotia, is an artist and illustrator. She holds a BSc and MSc in biology and a BEd from Acadia University. She was elected to the Society of Canadian Artists in 2009. Robar-DeCoste has illustrated 18 books and numerous brochures, mostly on natural history. She has taught painting classes and workshops since 1987 in her home studio, the wider community and at Acadia University. Her work is found in many private and corporate collections in North America and Europe. She is currently president of the Botanical Artists of Nova Scotia Association (BANSA) and her work is inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature. She works in watercolour, acrylic, oils and pen and ink to create realistic and detailed painting of birds, botanical subjects, landscapes, and seascapes. It is her hope that her work will encourage a greater respect for our natural environment.
