A fine night of football and fun in Ottawa at Friday Night Lights event

Acadia alumni enjoyed a Friday Night Lights doubleheader in Ottawa on Sept. 8, getting together first for a bite to eat at The Senate Tavern and then heading en masse to TD Place and the Ottawa Redblacks CFL game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. It was a tight game and a tough night for Ottawa as they fell 27-24 in a very competitive contest. The upside: it was a win for the Tiger-Cats and Acadia alum Bailey Feltmate (’20). Several generations of alumni gathered at the tavern, and it afforded the opportunity for football alumni from different eras to get to know one other. It was just like home at the game, with red and black plaid everywhere AND, if that weren’t enough, we met a doppelganger of our Axeman mascot! A truly great night of football and fun. Thanks, Ottawa! We’ll see you again soon.
