A lively array of Acadia School of Music alumni returned to campus and filled the Wu Welcome Centre with energy and enthusiasm on November 7, 2024.
Part of Nova Scotia Music Week, the celebration included University President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (’99) and Vice-President, External Relations Nancy Handrigan (’92) – both of whom are School of Music alum – and an engaged group that included 10 2023 grads, which was more than half the crowd! Dr. Hennessy, who was Director of Acadia’s School of Music from 2007-2013, had a great time chatting with former students and relating how music has served him well at every turn in his life.
Wonderful generational connections were made, and Nancy discussed with those in attendance the value and commonality of their music degrees. So many incredible memories and stories! It was an amazing event, and a great way to launch Nova Scotia Music Week at Acadia.
