University President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (’99) and Executive Director, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (’93, ’06) were greeted with island warmth and excitement when they visited alumni in Bridgetown, Barbados on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024. The mood at the Hilton Barbados Resort was celebratory and welcoming as Dr. Hennessy reconnected with several former students and provided context around his first six months as University President. He also expressed his excitement for the future as the University looks forward to its 200th anniversary in 2038. Erin Hennessy (’94, ’96) was on hand as well, sharing in the stories of days gone by at Acadia. To top it all off, the conversation has started for a possible Caribbean Homecoming in 2025! Can’t wait!
