Acadia’s External Relations cleans up at Education Digital Marketing (EDM) Awards

by Grant Lohnes

The 13th Annual EDM Awards Winners List Announced!

Educational Institutions and the agencies who assist them are invited annually to submit nominations in a myriad of categories highlighting their institutional brand, hard work and creativity. Acadia answered the call and was rewarded for it.

Vice-President External Relations, Nancy Handrigan ('92), appreciates the opportunity that the EDM Awards affords us in testing our programs against our North American peers. “It is always an honour and a pleasure to be recognized on the continental stage with the marketing content that Acadia is producing. When the calibre of what we are producing receives recognition like this, it is a pleasure to share the news.”

At the top of the podium winning a Gold nod in the Digital Special Video category was the stinger video for the Spring 2025 Bulletin, with the publication in its entirety receiving a Silver in the Digital Publication category. Joining on the Silver platform in the category of Social Media Content campaign was the “You’re here; you’re home!” Homecoming Campaign which consisted of several exciting visual representations of Homecoming along with an interactive puzzle and a class gift quiz!

Several Bronze accolades were celebrated by Acadia in the Institutional Website Update/Refresh category for Alumni Awards; DAA, in the Facebook category for the Alumni Awards Dinner Reel and in the Social Media Content - Single category for the All-'70s Graphic.

And to cap it all off, an award of Merit was bestowed in the Instagram category for Giving to the Alumni Fund reel.

Alumni Association Board Director and Chair of the Communications Committee, Emily Wooder MacLeod ('17), couldn’t be more excited about celebrating the accomplishments of the staff team and the organization. “It is wonderful to see the efforts of the staff team receiving recognition for the creative and engaging marketing work that is produced and shared with our passionate alumni community on a regular and time effective basis. Receiving seven awards is outstanding. Congratulations from the Acadia Alumni association. The alumni community appreciates you."
