Acadia’s 175^th anniversary may have kicked off on Founders’ Day, November 15, 2013, but the celebration continues with plenty of special events lined up in 2014 to keep the party going.

The Office of Alumni Affairs has taken a leadership role, organizing a series of receptions and rallies throughout the year that will culminate in a grand finale during Homecoming Weekend, October 17-19.

“We’re very excited about our 175^th anniversary,” says Ian Murray (’88), Executive Director of Alumni Affairs, “and our goal is to share that excitement with as many alumni as possible. We’ve ramped things up considerably, with events locally, across Canada and around the world. Some highlights include the Gala Dinner on April 3 at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax, Convocation in May and Homecoming in October, but there’s a lot going on otherwise and I’m inviting alumni in each of the communities we plan to visit to come out and join us as we celebrate Acadia’s 175^th.” For more on Acadia’s 175^th anniversary, please visit: http://175.acadiau.ca/
