Alumni share Acadia magic in Ottawa

Alumni Relations and Student Enrolment staff teamed up once again on November 12 in Ottawa to share the magic of Acadia University. Red and blue filled the St. Laurent Room at the Lord Elgin Hotel, with alumni representing graduation years from the 1960s to early 2020s in attendance.

Alumni Association president Christine Luckasavitch (’11) and board director Natalie Irwin (’01), alongside Honorary Degree recipient Colonel (The Reverend) Dr. Barb Putnam (’95, ’22 HON), former Acadia Students’ Union Executive member Lucas Perkins (’23) and ever-proud volunteer Emily Murray (’18) were among the group introducing several prospective students to Acadia.

Ontario Recruitment Advisor Sophie Chambers (’20) was on hand to answer questions and chat about admission requirements. While many students in the room had already decided to attend Acadia, several were still thinking about it, but they would be hard-pressed not to choose Acadia after Tuesday night! It was a tremendous gathering, and so wonderful to meet one family representing Acadia with both mom and dad as alum. Not surprising, their daughter Gabrielle has already made her choice!
