Acadia University President Ray Ivany (left) was on hand Friday, Aug. 26 to accept the donation of an original piece of artwork, Inspiration, by Vadim Dolgov. The work, inspired by a Mike Dembeck (’98) photo, was donated to the University by Bruce Phinney (’81, right), past president of the Associated Alumni of Acadia University and member of Acadia’s Board of Governors. Phinney purchased the painting, which was produced through an initiative by Acadia alumni Peter Sheppard (’71), Chris Kavanagh (’74) and Paul Bailey (‘75), at this year’s Alumni Gala in Halifax.
