The Acadia Axemen basketball team has earned an at-large (wildcard) berth in the CIS Final Eight National Championship this weekend at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Their selection as the wildcard followed a vote by a committee of CIS coaches despite their 83-75 loss in the AUS final on Sunday, March 3 to the Cape Breton Capers. The Axemen were ranked no lower than sixth nationally all season and climbed all the way up to No. 2 for three weeks during the fall semester.

There will be a Pre-Game Alumni gathering from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, March 8 at Bert’s Bar in Scotiabank Place. Don’t forget to wear your Acadia colours – let’s get loud and Stand Up and Cheer for our Acadia Axemen!
