It was a great night on May 26, 2022 when approximately 30 Acadia alumni – including hosts Nancy Handrigan (’92), Vice-President, Advancement (Interim), and Oonagh Proudfoot (’93, ’06), Executive Director, Alumni Affairs – gathered at Grace O’Malley’s in Toronto for a delightful in-person meet and greet event. Guests came from far and wide, including Jacob Watson (’19), who drove two-and-a-half hours, from London, ON, to make new friends and meet old ones at the Toronto pub.

Grad years of attendees spanned 1961 through to 2019, with each decade represented, and a mom, dad and daughter trio comprised of Mark Webster (’82), his wife Janet (‘82) and daughter Hannah (’15) joined in the fun! How cool is that? The winner of a draw prize for an Axewoman hat was Evan Green (’00), a huge supporter of Acadia varsity athletics, but he gave the hat to Cassondra McCrory (’11), an Axewoman herself who didn't have one. A ‘Stand Up and Cheer’ moment if ever there was one! We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting the GTA again soon.
