Acadia University President Ray Ivany and Dr. Wendy Bedingfield, representing the Acadia University Faculty Association (AUFA), shared cake-cutting duties on Nov. 15 in the Garden Room at the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre. Part of a celebration to mark Acadia’s Founding 173 years ago on Nov. 15, 1838, the event, sponsored by the Associated Alumni of Acadia University, included a presentation by University Archivist Patricia Townsend on ‘The Man from Amherst and the Spirit of Acadia’, and singing of Acadia’s Alma Mater by the University Chamber Choir.
