Holiday season in full swing at festive Toronto gathering

The holiday season is upon us and there was certainly a festive mood on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Lodge on Queen, aptly known as ‘Toronto’s Hidden Gem’. University President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (’99) was greeted in a beautifully decorated room full of holiday spirit by a group of inquisitive and engaged alumni from various decades, including Chancellor Bruce Galloway (’68, ’03) and past Chancellor Libby Burnham (’60, ’00). Conversation centered around the gift that Acadia is to all of us, and good humour, camaraderie and community were the primary themes as Vice-President, Advancement Nancy Handrigan (’92), Executive Director, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (’93, ’06), and Executive Director, Donor Relations Vicki MacCrimmon wrapped up this leg of our ‘Meet the President’ tour. A number of Dr. Hennessy’s former students also attended, and had a great time catching up with him throughout the evening.
