Acadia’s 175th Anniversary celebration continued on Dec. 11, 2013 at the Canada Consulate in Boston with a holiday reception for alumni and friends. More than 25 people attended and shared Acadia news and memories, with special guests Ray Ivany, President of Acadia University; Patrick G. Binns, Consul General of Canada in New England; Ian Murray (’88), Executive Director of Alumni Affairs at Acadia; Nancy Handrigan (’92), Executive Director of Philanthropy at Acadia; and Ryan McCarthy (’10), Director, Associated Alumni of Acadia University. Pictured with President Ivany are (left) Anthony Cicerone (’68), Special Assistant to the Executive Vice-President for Business and Industry, Bridgewater State University, and Patrick G. Binns, Consul General of Canada. Mr. Binns has a strong Acadia connection, as all four of his children are Acadia graduates: Rob (’95), Mark (’97), Brad (’01) and Lilly (’05). As part of Acadia’s 175th anniversary, we are reaching out to alumni around the world to join us and share in the celebration – check our website for news and information on upcoming events!
