A full house was on hand at Terminal City Club in Vancouver, BC on Monday, April 29, 2019 to greet Acadia’s Chancellor, Bruce Galloway ('68, '03), Executive Director, Alumni Affairs, Ian Murray (’88), and Executive Director, Philanthropy, Nancy Handrigan ('92) at another successful alumni reception. More than 40 guests shared fond reminiscence, heard news and information on the University and updates on Campaign for Acadia. Guest speaker was alumna Alix Shield (’10, ’12), current PhD candidate and settler scholar in the Department of English at Simon Fraser University, who gave a wonderful presentation on her research, which uses contemporary digital humanities methods to analyze collaboratively-authored 20th and 21st Century Indigenous literatures in Canada, primarily focused on E. Pauline Johnson's and Chief Joe and Mary Capilano’s 1911 text Legends of Vancouver.
