The 102nd annual Acadia Bulmer Relay helped to kick off Homecoming Weekend at Acadia University on October 17, 2014. Approximately 60 participants braved uncertain and occasionally rainy conditions to tackle the course, with first place going to Former Axewomen and Then Some (Red). Second place went to the Chase Court Devils, and Former Axewomen and Then Some (Blue) captured third. Best costume went to the Chipman Chaps, who rocked a Western theme, and Best Baton was awarded to the Acadia Entrepreneurship Society, who used a cell phone to take calls and text messages as they ran. At right, Chancellor Libby Burnham (’60) presents the Bulmer trophy to members of the Former Axewomen and Then Some (Red) team at the conclusion of the relay.
