Acadia alumni and friends ignored unseasonably warm and wet weather and turned out in fine style for this year’s Holiday Skate and Carol Sing on December 8. More than 50 people took to the ice with holiday music as the backdrop at the Andrew H. McCain Arena for a delightfully fun family skate and then headed over to the Wu Welcome Centre at Alumni Hall for a Carol Sing with Sarah Pound (’08). Rainy conditions forced the party inside, but certainly didn’t dampen the excitement. The music was great, and attendees were greeted by a very special guest who apparently came from the North Pole to visit and share some holiday cheer. As a bonus, donations of non-perishable food items were collected to support the Acadia Students’ Union Food Cupboard. A spirited night all around, and thanks to all who came out.
