Acadia alumni and friends gathered on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Carleton Music Bar and Grill in Halifax for the annual Acadia Alumni Pre-Game Pep Rally prior to the Acadia vs. SMU football game that evening. Although the Axemen came out on the short end of a 14-11 score, the result didn’t dampen the Acadia spirit shown by: (from left) Margaret VanBlarcom (’85); Ralph Davis (’62); Brian VanBlarcom (’83); Logan VanBlarcom (’11); and Sarah Hill (’11). Acadia was back in action on September 14, when they hosted the CIS defending champion Laval Rouge et Or at Raymond Field in Wolfville. Laval came out on top 26-14 in a close contest, but Acadia rebounded on Friday, September 20 to post a 40-11 win over previously undefeated St. F.X.
