Acadia Chancellor Libby Burnham (’60) and University President Ray Ivany hosted about 100 alumni and friends at a Holiday Social on the Hill in our nation’s capital Nov. 25. Held in historic Room 256 S, Centre Block on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, known also as the Railway Committee Room, the evening featured light refreshments, news and updates from the Acadia community. Invited but unable to attend, the Honourable Peter MacKay (’87), Minister of National Defence, and M.P. Scott Armstrong (’88) were nevertheless instrumental in the evening’s success.
