Acadia alumni enjoyed a warm and welcoming reception at Aroma Café in Calgary on October 29, 2024.

Regan Cyr (’23), Acadia’s recruiter for Alberta, was on hand to connect with students and their families considering Acadia and introduce them to alumni from all eras and walks of life, including several former varsity athletes; Acadia Students’ Union president Tim Hodge (’93) and daughter Sarah; Cal Annis (’57), member of the first Acadia football team and daughter Carol; and Dr. Matt Corkum (’06), a recent guest of the Acadia Alumni Virtual Event Series.

If that wasn’t enough, Camilla Chu (’09, pen name Camilla Tracy) was there with her husband Paul Campbell (’08) and shared two of her books with Executive Director, Alumni Relations Oonagh Proudfoot (’93, ’09), Of Threads and Oceans from the Threads of Magic series, and Soxkendi: A Family of Dragons.

It was great to see you, Calgary – we hope to do it again soon!
