Amy Evangeline Prescott (’18) is a WISE woman, and it runs in the family. In her first year at Acadia, she joined WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) Acadia, which is a group of female faculty, staff and students who gather together to promote full participation by women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) fields.
Protecting wild spaces and the Indigenous people who live there has become the life work of biologist and social activist Kimlee Wong (’91).
Growing up in Boutilier’s Point, Nova Scotia, Laura Ferguson (’10) says she was lucky to have the ocean as a front yard and a forest in the back.
