On Founder’s Day, November 15, 2022 (which is also National Philanthropy Day), Acadia University Chancellor Bruce Galloway (’68, ’03 HON, pictured) hosted a full room of donors that included local alumni and friends, faculty and staff, to thank them for their tremendous support of Acadia students. The Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons was the backdrop for a warm gathering where Nancy Handrigan (’92) welcomed guests and Provost and Vice-President Academic Dr. Dale Keefe provided updates from the University. Nutrition and psychology student Tanvi Dabas thanked donors on behalf of students and spoke from the perspective of international students specifically, reminding the audience that for them, Acadia represents not just their Acadia experience, but their Canadian experience. Music was provided by Chantal (’22), Charlotte (’24) and Carmen Peng. Chancellor Galloway thanked everyone for their loyal support, highlighted successes of the past, and encouraged donors to continue giving to Acadia.
