Donors lauded at 1838 Society social

University President Dr. Peter Ricketts hosted a charming afternoon tea for Acadia’s 1838 Society on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 – Founders’ Day and National Philanthropy Day. A recently donated baby grand piano was played by second-year student Chantal Peng as guests arrived. Dr. Ricketts brought greetings and thanked attendees for supporting Acadia now and in the future, presenting certificates of appreciation to those donors who were on hand to share in the event. The 1838 Society recognizes donors who have notified Acadia of their intention to leave an estate gift to the University. For more on Campaign for Acadia, please visit: https://campaign.acadiau.ca/.
