Regular COVID-19 testing and vaccination are important measures to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 and its variants. Acadia has scheduled an October 19 vaccination clinic on campus for October 19 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Fountain Learning Commons Great Room.
In addition, the University continues its collaboration with Nova Scotia Public Health to include self-swab COVID-19 rapid screening program and take-away testing kit options for our students, employees, and campus contract employees (Sodexo and Chartwells).
Testing can also be done at many locations across the province through the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
The Acadia rapid testing clinics and take-away test kits are available to our students, employees, and campus contract employees (Sodexo and Chartwells).
Those being tested also need to meet all the following requirements:
People who do not meet these requirements or should seek out testing through the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Mondays, 1 - 4 p.m., Manning Memorial Chapel (Basement) Thursdays, 4:30 - 7:30 p.m., Acadia Athletics Complex (Wolfville Room - enter through main doors)
Tuesdays, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wheelock Dining Hall
A take-away test kit is a rapid test you can take and complete on your own time. For take-away test kits, you review the results yourself after about 15 minutes. View instructions [PDF] or watch the video.
No appointment is needed. These test clinics are only available to members of the Acadia University campus community (students, faculty, staff, and campus employees of Sodexo and Chartwells). Members of the public should continue to arrange testing with Nova Scotia Public Health.
