A Canadian Experience! Watch & Learn Ringette

January 18, 2026 (5:00 pm - 7:00 pm)

Location: Acadia Athletics Complex

Outbound Alumni, Rieley (University of Plymouth), and the Acadia Ringette team invite our exchange community to come watch the team play against Dalhousie Ringette on January 18th, then join our Acadia players on the ice to learn about the sport of ringette!

👀 Game Details:

  • Date: Sunday, January 18th, 2026
  • Time: 5:00–6:00pm
  • Opponent: Dalhousie
  • Location: Acadia Arena

🎉 Post-Game Ice Time:
  • Time: 6:00–7:00pm
  • Activity: Ice session to learn new skills and spend time with the team!
❄️ Arena Access: To access the game, enter the Athletic Complex through the main doors and turn left toward the walking track. Follow the walking track into the arena, where seating is available to watch the game.

⛸️Skate & Helmet Fitting: It is strongly recommended that participants be fitted for skates before the game ends to ensure maximum ice time. There is a mid-game break that would be an ideal time to get fitted. Skates and helmets are located near the main entrance at the help booth, where a staff member will assist with fitting. Free to Acadia students!

After the game, the best meeting spot is downstairs, where there are benches to put on skates and direct access to the ice. This area can be reached by:
* The stairs off the walking track before entering the arena, or
* The stairs through the bleachers, heading down and to the left.

Fun Fact About Ringette: Ringette was invented in North Bay, Ontario, and is officially played in six countries, with the sport continuing to grow in popularity worldwide.

The 'Post-Game Ice Time' is open to all inbound and outbound exchange students. Participation is limited by the availability of skates and helmets.
