AKI is an Anishnaabe documentary directed by Darlene Naponse, set in Atikameksheng Anishnawbek in Northern Ontario. It’s a dialogue- and narration-free film that relies on the textures and rhythms of the natural world and how everything that exists is rooted in land. It will be followed by a panel discussion with student participants of the Land-based Learning Course in L’sitkuk (Bear River) First Nation as an example of land-based learning taking place in Mi’kma’ki.
