Location: K.C. Irving Environmental Centre Auditorium
This talk is part of the ALLways Learning Series, which invites ALL members and members of our local community to join us for a free, casual lecture each Friday during the academic year (formerly Lunchtime Learning Series).
Abstract: In 2017 Michael Shaw did a presentation at Acadia that claimed the following: “Find out why the emerging energy technologies of renewable power generation, electrical energy storage and electric transportation are about to hit the western world with gale force winds. This storm of synergistic disruption will reach a tipping point in 2020 and cause massive changes in our society. Many of these will benefit not only humans but the entire planet.” This talk covers what was said in that presentation and answers the questions: how accurate was his forecast and where do we go from here?
