Authors at Acadia: Luke Hathaway

The Department of English and Theatre hosts a series of readings and presentations by authors from across the region and worldwide. These events are open to the public and are an important source of cultural enrichment for students, faculty, and Wolfville community members alike.

Luke Hathaway is a trans poet, librettist, and performer who lives in Kjipuktuk / Halifax, and teaches full-time at Saint Mary’s University.  His books have been recognized on ‘Best of’ lists in the New York Times, the Times (U.K.), The National Post, and the Globe and Mail, as well as on NPR and the CBC. The author of four collections of poems and of many works in other genres (essays, playscripts, libretti), will read from his most recent book of poems, The Affirmations.
