Brave the Breeze: Help Keep Black Rock Beach Wild & Clean

January 24, 2026 - January 25, 2026 (11:00 am - 3:00 pm)

Location: Black Rock Beach at Hemeons Head

Acadia partners with the Nova Scotia Nature Trust to preserve protected land the university owns in various places across Nova Scotia.

One such area is beautiful, pristine Black Rock Beach at Hemeon’s Head New Lockport on the South Shore. The Scotian Shores Clean Up Project, in cooperation with the Pemsɨk conservation mosaic, has organized a beach clean up for January 24 and 25, 2026, between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm each day.

Both Acadia and the Nature Trust support this important initiative, and you are invited to join.
