ACADIA ALERT - Campus Closing Early (Weather)

Today, 11 February 2026 - Acadia University will be closing at 5:30pm due to the forecasted weather conditions. All classes scheduled to start at 5:30pm and later are canceled. Students and employees are not expected to come to campus. Only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Residence buildings and Wheelock Dining Hall will be operational.

Updates will be posted on www.acadiau.ca and pre-recorded on Acadia’s Information Line: 902-585-4636 (585-INFO) and on 585 phone system voicemail. Caring for the Caregivers Heart: A Women's Heart and Vascular Health Information Session for those Caregiving to Persons experiencing Disability
 
Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death for women worldwide? Join us on Wear Red Canada day for an information session on women's heart health, tailored specifically for women who provide care to individuals experiencing disability. The event will feature a keynote presentation from Dr. Karen Bouchard, Associate Scientist from the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Optional cardiovascular disease risk factor measurements will be taken and light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to all women who provide care (unpaid or paid) to individuals experiencing disability, and their support networks.
 
Registration is strongly encouraged, but not required.
