Acadia’s Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism and Acadia Pride invite members of the Acadia community to join us for a talk by queer author Rebecca Rose on October 20 from 4-5pm.

Rebecca will discuss her two books on local queer activism and history, Before the Parade: A History of Halifax’s Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Communities (1972-1984) and Amazing 2SLGBTQIA+ People in Atlantic Canada, as well as the efforts by other local writers, artists, and historians documenting local 2SLGBTQIA+ histories.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to win a free signed copy of one of Rebecca’s books.
