September 23, 2025 (12:30 pm - 1:30 pm)
Location: Beveridge Arts Centre room 401
Join us on Tuesday, September 23rd (12:30pm - 1:30pm BAC401) for the first talk in this year's History & Classics Brown Bag Speaker Series. Visiting Professor Adam Jortner (Auburn University) will present a talk titled "Nova Scotia's 'No': Rejecting the American Revolution, 1775-1781"
About the series:
The Brown Bag Speaker Series is a History & Classics initiative that seeks to foster community, academic engagement, and research. Each month (during the Fall & Winter terms) a department member or welcomed guest will present a lunchtime talk. Talks are ~20 mins long & followed by a question period. This is a friendly & informal environment where we can learn what our colleagues are working on (feel free to eat lunch while you listen!). All faculty, staff, and students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
