Keynote Lecture by the Honourable Justice Malcolm Rowe - Canada and the US: After 150 Years the Differences Remain the Same

The Law and Society Program, with the support of the Jarislowsky Chair in Trust & Political Leadership, invites the community to the inaugural Law and Society Annual Lecture with the Honourable Justice Malcolm Rowe of the Supreme Court of Canada.
 
Justice Rowe will speak on Canada and the US: After 150 Years the Differences Remain the Same, which will examine the contemporary differences in political culture between the two countries.
 
Justice Rowe’s distinguished career has spanned private practice focussing on international maritime law, as well as time spent in the foreign service and the Newfoundland and Labrador public service. Justice Rowe was first appointed to the Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court in 1999 and subsequently elevated to that province’s Court of Appeal in 2001. He was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada in 2016.
