Launchbox Industry Challenge - Solve Food System Challenges

We’re excited to invite Acadia Students to the upcoming Launchbox Challenge, where students from all programs and years can come together to make an impact in a real-world case competition! This event is all about finding creative solutions to increase sustainable, locally-grown food consumption, support local farmers in the Annapolis Valley, and overall strengthen our community and well-being.
Event Details:
• When: Saturday, November 16 at 10 am to Sunday, November 17 at 3 pm
• Where: Patterson Hall, 4th floor (Launchbox), with presentations on Sunday at Fountain Commons
Why Participate?
• Collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds to create impactful solutions for real-world food system challenges.
• Investigate the resilience of local food systems, local farmers and the health implications of food choices.
• Present your innovative ideas to a panel of expert judges and network with leaders in the field.
Special Highlights
• Hear from guest speakers including farmers, restaurant owners, and food industry experts.
• Enjoy a complimentary networking lunch provided by Chartwell’s Acadia.
• Attend the Farmworks Connects event on Sunday for free as a student (non-student tickets are $25).
No previous experience is required to participate, all the information you need about the challenge will be provided on Saturday, Nov 16 at the start of the event.
