ACADIA ALERT - Campus Closing Early (Weather)

Today, 11 February 2026 - Acadia University will be closing at 5:30pm due to the forecasted weather conditions. All classes scheduled to start at 5:30pm and later are canceled. Students and employees are not expected to come to campus. Only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Residence buildings and Wheelock Dining Hall will be operational.

Updates will be posted on www.acadiau.ca and pre-recorded on Acadia’s Information Line: 902-585-4636 (585-INFO) and on 585 phone system voicemail. If you need emergency-related information, please contact the Department of Safety and Security by dialing 88 on all 585-phone systems, or by calling 902-585-1103.

Mental Health First Aid Training

January 24, 2026 - January 25, 2026 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)

The Acadia Chaplaincy and Counselling Centre are collaborating to provide Mental Health First Aid Training, offered free to Acadia students.

There are only 25 spaces available, and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Mental Health First Aid training facilitated by BraveHeart First Aid Certificate and Book Provided on successful completion of the Course

Dates: Saturday January 24 & Sunday January 25

Time: 9:00 – 4:00 (25 spots)

Students are invited to apply and to share the information with other students who may be interested in doing the Course.
