ACADIA ALERT - Campus Closing Early (Weather)

Today, 11 February 2026 - Acadia University will be closing at 5:30pm due to the forecasted weather conditions. All classes scheduled to start at 5:30pm and later are canceled. Students and employees are not expected to come to campus. Only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Residence buildings and Wheelock Dining Hall will be operational.

Updates will be posted on www.acadiau.ca and pre-recorded on Acadia’s Information Line: 902-585-4636 (585-INFO) and on 585 phone system voicemail. If you need emergency-related information, please contact the Department of Safety and Security by dialing 88 on all 585-phone systems, or by calling 902-585-1103.

Pee (or swab) for Pizza! Walk-in STI Screening in the SUB

January 27, 2026 (9:00 am - 1:00 pm)

Location: Michener Lounge, Student Union Building

The only test you don't have to study for 📖✨️ The Red Door will be on campus for free screening on the last Tuesday of every month, no appointment needed.
 
Most STIs don't show symptoms, so it's important to get tested regularly!
 
Go behind the curtain in the Michener Lounge to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea, pick up some free safer sex supplies, then get your free pizza lunch at the Axe🍕🤤
 
STI screening is done by The Red Door and is completely confidential. Please note the Red Door can only provide testing for individuals age 29 and younger.
