The Sensory Motor Instructional Leadership Experience (S.M.I.L.E.) Program will be hosting an information session along with volunteer registration for the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.

 

S.M.I.L.E. is an innovative, academic-based, yet volunteer-driven program that provides persons with varying disabilities a unique physical activity experience in order to improve their total development as individuals.

 

S.M.I.L.E. is one of the largest volunteer programs at Acadia University, with over 400 Acadia students volunteering their time in one semester.

 

Volunteering with S.M.I.L.E. is open to all Acadia students.

 

At the end of the information session, students will be asked to register on the S.M.I.L.E. online platform to become a volunteer. Training sessions for volunteers will be Friday September 12, Saturday September 13, Tuesday September 16 and Thursday September 18. More details about the training sessions will be provided at the information session.
